So, Elroy has his gross butt issues again. I seriously do not know what to do you guys. I wish there was an (non toxic) pill which would just magically make all his hair fall out. You know, his ass hair in particular.

Last night we came home and I noticed he was being really weird. Weirder than usual. He was walking around scratching the floor like he would do around his litter box. Just here there and everywhere. Scratch scratch scratch. Then I noticed, OH, he has shit matteted to his ass. Maybe he is uncomfortable or something!

UGH.

I put him in the sink and sprayed his butt with warm water and then there was some more detailed work (EW EW EW, gross) involving tissues and now he seems to be a little better. But there are still the matts. Which I have to cut out somehow again some more. WHY CAN MY CAT NOT MAINTAIN HIS OWN ASSHOLE!?!?

I went to bed feeling so bummed out. It is like, I have to fix it and it is HELL ON EARTH to do. It is not like he happily let's me shave his butt, it is long and drawn out and hard work. When your cat is half your size, it is not easily remedied.

So, who wants to come over and hold my cat down while I shave his butt? Anyone? Hello?

Last night Elroy came and sat next to Bob on the bed. Bob said "get away. You smell." Aw. It's not his fault!

Then I followed the cat around, trying to look at his ass.

Lovely.

He has a huge piece of shit stuck there. Totally matted in his long fur under his butt. Which he can't reach to lick (ew) because he is too fat. When he tries to lick his butt, he just kind of falls over in a pathetic rolling motion. (it is a little funny)

I am not sure what to do. I am going to have to shave his ass. He is not going to like it. Also, he is a strong guy. He bites. He weighs 17 pounds. Most of it is muscle. It is hard to do.

*sigh*

All I can help but feel is "I don't need this right now". But then I think, well, either does he.
